Un rapport avait sonné l’alarme

Le procès entourant le caractère obligatoire du cours d’éthique et de culture religieuse (ECR) en est à sa troisième journée au palais de justice de Drummondville.

Pettigrew a reconnu qu’un rapport, produit en 2007, soulignait que le nouveau cours d’éthique et de culture religieuse suscitait des craintes au sein de la population.

Le représentant du ministère de l’Éducation a affirmé que plusieurs recommandations avaient été formulées dans le rapport Fleury pour apaiser ces craintes, mais qu’aucune d’entre elles n’avait été suivie par le gouvernement.

« Il y a des susceptibilités, [...] des appréhensions du public en général, des parents et des élèves face à l’introduction du cours.

Damon Albarn et Blur : une seule date programmée en France ! Ne la …

On commençait très sérieusement à se demander quelle combine il allait falloir inventer pour pouvoir assister à la reformation sur scène de Blur, lors des exceptionnels concerts programmés le 26 juin à Manchester, les 2 et 3 juillet à Hyde Park (puis le 11 au T in the Park écossais) – rendez-vous qui ont déjà pulvérisé les records lors de la vente des places !

Il faudra donc se ruer sur les billets mis en vente le 6 avril prochain à 11 heures – inutile de dire “à partir de”, car cela devrait aller très vite !

Le pape de la pop Albarn, le démissionnaire Graham Coxon (qui avait quitté le groupe pendant l’enregistrement du dernier album, Think Tank), le maître-fromager Alex James (un bassiste qui a fait goûter Oasis à sa nouvelle activité de faiseur de fromages) et Dave Rowntree ont choisi Les Nuits de Fourvière pour leur seule étape française.

C’est donc dans le cadre impressionnant et sublime du Théâtre Antique de Fourvière (5e arrondissement de Lyon), investi par ce festival multi-arts qui se tient de juin à août et accueille désormais plus de 100 000 spectateurs chaque année, que le band se produira, le 5 juillet 2009 !

Joubert a devancé l’Italien d’origine française, Samuel Contesti, et le Belge, Kevin Van der Perren.

Les deux autres représentants tricolores, Yannick Ponsero (4e) et Alban Préaubert (5e) complètent le tableau.

The Project Archivist will work to the supervision of the Medway Archivist, and in partnership with the Friends of Medway Archives.

The successful applicant will hold a Post Graduate diploma/MA in Archive Administration and will be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of local authority records; will be able to travel within the Medway area; will be used working alone, as well as part of a team, and will be able to demonstrate excellent inter-personal skills.

The awards recognise this year’s “best of the best” strategies, achievements, teams and individuals in councils, central government, NHS, education & other organizations – and were presented on 20th January at a black tie dinner in the City of London Guildhall.

PARIS (Reuters) – Rodriguez Group accélère sa flambée à la Bourse de Paris lundi, dopé par des rumeurs d’accord sur le refinancement de la dette bancaire du concepteur et maître d’oeuvre de yachts de luxe.

La valeur grimpe de 56,7% à 4,7 euros vers 12h10, signant de loin la meilleure performance du SRD, après un plongeon de près de 94% l’an dernier.

Le groupe de yachts de luxe, lourdement déficitaire au titre de l’exercice 2007-2008, avait annoncé, le 17 décembre, ne plus respecter ses covenants bancaires et avoir entamé des discussions sur une restructuration de sa dette (150 millions d’euros, pour des fonds propres de 79 millions).

Rodriguez, très impacté par l’aggravation de la crise financière, a vu son chiffre d’affaires plonger de plus de 70% au 4e trimestre de son exercice 2007-2008 en raison de l’annulation de nombreuses commandes de bateaux et a, comme anticipé par les analystes, essuyé une lourde perte annuelle.

Obama breaks silence on Gaza, voices ‘deep concern’ over civilian …

Bush on January 20, broke his silence about the violence in the Gaza Strip on Tuesday, calling the loss of civilian lives in Gaza and in Israel a “source of deep concern for me.”

Nonetheless, Obama said that he is “not backing at all from what I’ve said during the campaign we’re going to engage effectively and consistently in the peace process.”

Meanwhile, the United States on Tuesday signaled some flexibility over Israel’s offensive on the Gaza Strip, saying it would like to see “an immediate ceasefire” but emphasizing any such agreement must be durable, sustainable and indefinite.
